About the Metro Region
AJC New Jersey’s Metro Region was founded in 1946 as the Essex County Chapter of AJC. AJC Metro’s members and supporters reside in Essex, Morris, Union, Hudson and Sussex counties.
AJC Metro sponsors numerous educational programs throughout the year for members and the general community that reflect the depth of AJC's national and international agenda. Members actively participate in advocacy, diplomacy, discussion and study groups—focusing on such issues as the security of Israel, the global war on terrorism, the threat of a nuclear empowered Iran, anti-Semitism, fair and just immigration reform, energy security, and the protection of civil and religious liberties.
